7 June 2009 – (Sunday) Horse show and Haagen Dazs

Although we were very tired after a few days of functions, mummy still insisted that we must attend the music class. All of us woke up early on this morning and attended the class as usual. This week, we only have 2 kids in the class, Chee Chee and Chloe as Zhen Sian was not yet recovered from chicken pox.

After the class, we have something very interesting to do. We would like to go to the Horse Show which held at Penang Turf Club. This was an event which held by Penang Turf Club annually. Mummy was not aware of us event previously until she saw the advertisement outside Penang Turf Club last month. We were curious and would like to find more about this Horse Show. We also invited Chuan Zheng, Zi Ning to join us as well. So, we decided to go there after the music class. Gong Gong, Poh Poh and all the Yi Yis would bring Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning to Penang Turf Club to meet us after their breakfast.

We reached Penang Turf Club quite early, so there was no traffic jam. It was quite smooth and we found a parking lot easily. 3 of us – daddy, mummy and Chee Chee were quite excited as it was our first time to come to Penang Turf Club for Horse Show.

We entered the main gate; we saw a lot of kids holding colourful balloons and clowns walking around playing with kids. It was a big fun fare with many things to see. There were some counters selling goodies and foods. Chee Chee was so excited to see so many people and colourful decoration around. She was pulling my hand walked around the place. We took a lot of nice photos at the racing field and we saw people riding horses. Unfortunately, mummy had accidentally deleted all the nice photos inside the camera. It was mummy’s fault. Luckily, we still have a few photos in San Yi Yi’s camera.

After a while, we met up with Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace in Turf Club as well. Grace would like to come to see soe horses and donkeys as well, but she was still too small, I believe she will be enjoyed more when she reach the age like Chee Chee.

Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace went back earlier as Grace was sleepy and it was too hot for Grace to walk under the sun. We were waiting for Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning to come. They came slightly later as it started to be traffic jam at 11am. As we had walked around, we may recommended them to go to those areas which worth visiting. We did take some photos with horses and donkey. We also watched some puppet show and magic show. It was really a fun place for Sunday family activity. As the weather was quite hot, we decided to go back to Poh Poh’s house for our lunch and rest.

At night, daddy, mummy, Suk Suk and Sen Sen went to a Korean Restaurant and left Chee Chee at home with kakak Katya as the restaurant is a bit packed. As mummy was feeling guilty to leave Chee Chee at home, she decided to bring Chee Chee for ice cream at Haagen Dazs with Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning. All of us ordered a big fondue and shared it together. We had a great evening together at Haagen Dazs.

6 June 2009 – (Saturday) Wei Nee Yi Yi’s wedding day

This day was Wei Nee Yi Yi’s wedding day and tea ceremony. All of us have to wake up early on this morning. San Yi Yi and Yi Chang could not make it for the wedding dinner on the day before, but they were back for the wedding day and also a wedding dinner at the bridegroom’s side.

All of us gathered at Poh Poh’s house early this morning. We departed together and heading to Wei Nee Yi Yi’s house for wedding day celebration and tea ceremony. We reached the place at 9:30am and the bride was still not yet ready. All the relatives were gathered together at the balcony area for buffet breakfast. We had met a lot of relatives who we seldom meet and had a great chat together. While waiting for the bridegroom to come, we were playing with Chee Chee and Zi Ning. Chee Chee was able to point all her body parts, eg: neck, hair, toes, tongue, fingers and etc. She really cheers up everyone there.

Around 11:00am, the groom arrived and the ceremony began. Daddy and mummy had to wait for their turn for tea ceremony and Chee Chee got to collect red packet from the bride and groom. The whole ceremony end at about 1pm. As all of us were hungry, therefore, we decided to go to “Tian Tian Restaurant” for lunch together. It was a nice place for lunch with so many people as we got a private room and a big table for 12 packs and a baby chair. The food was delicious as well, may be because we were too hungry. All of us had a pleasure moment together.

After lunch, we went back home for a rest. Chee Chee needed to have a good nap in the afternoon as we have to go to Lunas at night for the wedding dinner at the bridegroom’s side. While Chee Chee was sleeping at home, daddy and mummy actually went to Bukit Mertajam for Suk Suk’s boutique grand opening. Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace were there as well. We had done some quick shopping at Suk Suk’s shop. Around 5pm, we left the shop and heading back home to changed and got ourselves ready for another wedding dinner at Lunas. All of us met at Poh Poh’s house and departed around 6pm.

We reached Wei Nee Yi Yi’s house in Lunas at around 7:30pm. She has formed her own house staying in Lunas with her husband. We visited her new house before we go to the wedding dinner. The dinner was held at a temple near her house. The dinner started at 8:30pm and it was crowded with guests and relatives. It was an open air area at a temple. The weather on that night was a bit hot and every one of us was sweating. Chee Chee was very excited to see so many people around and singing on the stage. When it came to her favourite session, which is “yam seng” session, she was even more excited and was toasting with everyone.

It was a happening night and all of us had a great fun attending the dinner. Finally, the whole wedding ceremony was end on this night. All of us may go home to have some good rest on this night.

5 June 2009 – (Friday) Wei Nee Yi Yi’s wedding dinner

On this day, mummy was on leave as we have so many super VIP at home and she had no mood to work. We were staying over night at Poh Poh’s house on Thursday night. On Friday morning, all of us woke up very early for morning walk at Youth Park. As we predicted that in the coming weeks, we would be eating a lot of delicious food when we have super VIP at home, so we have to do more exercise to reduce some calories.

We walked to Youth Park from Poh Poh's house. It was a lovely and sunny morning. Many people was there for exercise. It has been long long time we did not do such exerices already. All of us was having a great time jogging and playing at the playground. Of course Chee Chee was super excited and she was enjoying herself playing with Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning.

After a morning walk, we decided to go to Mcdonalds for breakfast. All kids love Mcdonalds. It is a fun place with playground and good food. We went to the Mcdonalds at Sunrise Tower. As it was a working Friday, therefore, it was not so crowded on this morning. Zi Ning and Chee Chee may had the big space in the playground.

Recently, Chee Chee started to love playground and she is more stable to play in playground with all the big kids. But, mummy is having some problem to ask her to stop playing. Everytime when we wanted to leave the playground, Chee Chee refused to listen to mummy and would cried and screamed loudly. These bad habits need to be corrected soon.

After an active and happening morning session, all of us went back to Poh Poh's house for a rest. We need to get some good rest in the afternoon because on this night, we have to attend Wei Nee Yi Yi's wedding dinner.

On this night, all of us was dressed nicely and Chee Chee was dressed like a little princess. We went to the wedding dinner with grandpa and grandma as well. It was a lovely and casual wedding dinner at a Chinese Restaurant. We met a lot of our relatives, such as 3th uncle family, 4th uncle family and 5th uncle family. Besides, we also met some Gong Gong's old friends who we had never meet for quite some times.

The wedding dinner started a bit late. All of us was very hungry, but luckily the food served quite fast. It was a simple wedding dinner but it means a lot to Wei Nee Yi Yi and Yi Chang. It will be even better if 2nd uncle can witness the wedding. Congratulations and all the best to Wei Nee Yi Yi and Yi Chang!!!

4 June 2009 – Arrival of Ta Yi Yi, Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning

Oh, mummy is so sorry for being so lazy and did not update blog for nearly 3 weeks. Why??? Is it because we have nothing to update??? No, no, no, it is because we have too much outdoor activities in these 3 weeks and it was too tiring to update blog after that. However, our super VIP had gone back to Singapore and everything is back to normal, then mummy will try to recall all the activities and pen it down here.

Let's us start with 4 of June. This day was the arrival date of our super VIP – Ta Yi Yi, Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning from Singapore. Mummy had decided to fetch them from airport during her lunch time and would be working from home on the second half of the day. We had been very excited and looking forward on their arrival. The purpose of their trip is to attend Wei Nee Yi Yi’s wedding ceremony on the coming weekend. However, Ta Yi Yi will only stayed in Penang over the weekend and left Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning in Penang for 2 weeks. Hurray, it will be a very exciting and happening time for all of us in Penang.

Ta Yi Yi, Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning arrived in Penang at 12:30noon and we were heading back to Poh Poh’s house immediately. The delicious lunch was ready for us. Poh Poh had prepared some fried mee hoon, bak chang and dessert for us. Ta Yi Yi, Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning were quickly bathing themselves to make sure they are clean from any virus, then only we sat down together for our lunch.

Chee Chee was over excited to see Zi Ning one this day. When she saw Zi Ning, she was like shocked and stunned. She kept following Zi Ning from one place to another. No matter where Zi Ning goes, she just followed her every single step. It was like a dream to her and she was hoping to see Zi Ning everyday and now her dream becomes true. On this afternoon, she refused to go for her afternoon nap as she wanted to play with Zi Ning and Chuan Zheng. Aiyoyo, my dearest princess, I think this coming 2 weeks you will become “siao kia” with no discipline at all and only playing from day to night. So these coming 2 weeks would be Chee Chee’s holiday vacation as well.

On this night, we had a family reunion dinner at home with Poh Poh's homemade food. Ta Yi Yi missed all these foods like crazy as she had been craving for these home-cooked foods for some times. All of us had a great and very satisfied meal on this night. It is the best food in Penang which you cannot find in else where.
