23 February 2009 - Welcome Princess Grace!!!

Today is a big big big day for Edwin Suk Suk and Erfi Sen Sen..... Because today is the arrival date for Princess Grace... Who is Princess Grace?? She is Chee Chee's cousin. Welcome Princess Grace to the family!!!

Congratulations to Suk Suk and Sen Sen!!! Princess Grace is very healthy and chubby. She is weigh at 3.45kg and height at 49cm. She is very very cute and looks more like daddy.

Chee Chee still does not have the chance to meet Grace in person as she still not fully recovered from chicken pox and Grace is very fragile now. So we might need to wait until Chee Chee fully recovered only they can meet up.

21 January 2009 - Mummy is going to Singapore

On this day, mummy departed to Singapore for business trip. But, Chee Chee was not fully recovered from chicken pox. Mummy was so worried but she had committed to the company on this trip and arrangement had been finalised. Luckily, we have Poh Poh to take care of Chee Chee when mummy not around. Chee Chee was staying at the Poh Poh's house for few weeks until she fully recovered from chicken pox. She should not go back home because her cousin, Grace will be delivered on this coming Monday. We were looking forward to meet Grace.

Mummy will only go to work on weekday, so this weekend, she was staying at Ta Yi Yi' s house. During this weekend, we had attended a parenting talk in Singapore, morning jogging, followed Zi Ning and Chuan Zheng to library and all their weekend activities. It was really fun and educational to stay in Singapore with Ta Yi Yi. If possible, mummy really hopes that Chee Chee may get her education in Singapore. It is a very nice and well organised place for raising kids.

Besides that, mummy also met up with auntie Celine ,her baby boy Joshua and Joshua's daddy. We had our dinner at Clarke Quay Central and had some great chat in the restaurant. It is great to meet up Joshua and he is a big and handsome boy now.

17 February 2009 - Tuesday

Luckily, Poh Poh was coming back on this day. Poh Poh is more expert on taking care of Chee Chee especially when she is sick. Mummy was not too sure of what to let Chee Chee eats or not to eat. So, we were so glad that Poh Poh was coming back on this night. Welcome back Poh Poh!!!










But, Chee Chee was recovered quite fast as on the 3rd day of chicken pox, the spots already started to dry and not much spots create anymore. Chee Chee was so lucky that there is no chicken pox on her face. Most of the spots were at her back and head. So it is not that obvious that she is having chicken pox. Mummy was glad that Chee Chee may recovered so soon as mummy will be on business trip to Singapore for a week on 21 Feb 09.

15 February 2009 - Oh No!!! Go away chicken pox!!

Oh no no no no no........ Chee Chee had a chicken pox on her neck on this day. Unbelievable!!! How can Chee Chee gets a chicken pox???? Supposingly, we had made an appointment with Doctor Jessica for the anti-chicken pox injection on 16 February 2009 which is just the next day she got it and mummy had applied day off to bring Chee Chee to hospital for the jap. But now, she does not need any injection already as her body is immuned. ** Sigh!**

Mummy was so sad to see Chee Chee from suffering the itchyness. But we were unable to help her, she has to face it at the early age. aiyoyo... mummy was very hurt and worry but Chee Chee was doing well and she did not complained at all. Chee Chee is a brave girl. She did not have any sign of discomfort and no fever as well. She took the medicine which provided by doctor and get more rest. Pity girl...

It was such a wrong timing that Chee Chee got the chicken pox when Poh Poh was not in Penang. We dare not inform Poh Poh because we do not want to spoilt her mood travelling in Hong Kong. Mummy called Kim Poh and got her opinions on how to take care of Chee Chee. As we worried that Chee Chee might spread the chicken pox to Sen Sen, therefore, we decided to move out from home and stayed at Poh Poh's house for couple of weeks.

3 February 2009 - Tuesday

After the 9th day of Chinese New Year, we considered that Chinese New Year was coming to an end soon. Mummy and daddy were back to work yesterday and life is back to normal. During Chinese New Year, all of us was eating a lot of nice food and cookies, so our major concern after Chinese New Year is PUT ON WEIGHT!!! This is also Chee Chee's concern. Can you believe that she is worried of gaining weight like her mummy as well??? Yaya, she is mummy's lovely daugther and she acts just like mummy. As she is worried about her weight, she keeps on weighing herself in the room. Please refer to the photo below, Chee Chee was stepped on the weighing machine to measure her weight. Mummy was so surprise to see that and mummy took the photo of it. Chee Chee definitely learn it from mummy, hahaha..... my cute little princess, don't worry about your weight, you are mummy and daddy's perfect girl.

Besides that, Chee Chee also know how to pose when mummy asked her to do so. I am not too sure whether anyone notices that, recently Chee Chee always raised one of her little finger when took photos. She noticed that everytime mummy took photos, mummy also did the winning hand sign. She tried to pose like mummy but she cannot raise her 2 little fingers, so she only manage to raise one figure and make a very cute pose. So everytime mummy said," Chee Chee, come & take photo", she will do the same pose everytime. My little princess, you are really so cute. You are big girl now!!!

2 Feb 2009 - Monday

2 February 2009 was a special day for daddy and mummy, and it was a special day for grandpa as well. On this day, we went to Starview Restaurant for dinner but Chee Chee was not followed as it was not so convenient and comfortable for Chee Chee to go there. So she was left at home with kakak Katya.

After dinner, daddy and mummy came back to fetch Chee Chee to Poh Poh's house to meet Zi Ning Jie Jie and Ta Yi Yi. On this night, was also the praying night "Bai Tee Kong". It is a very important celebration for Hokkien people but this year, Yeh Yeh they all cannot pray Tee Kong because great grandma just pass away less than 3 years, so we are not allowed to pray on this day.

So daddy, mummy and Chee Chee went to Poh Poh's house to join them for praying. All of us was helping Poh Poh to prepare all the praying stuffs. The ceremony started at 11pm until 12 mid night. All of us was praying outside the garden and we also have some titbits and biscuits while waiting for the ceromony.

It was a big celebration for Penang and we heard lots of fire crackers on this night. Chee Chee was very brave and she was not affraid at all. After the praying ceremony, we ate mee suan together.

1 February 2009 - Sunday

Grandpa, daddy and mummy were recovered from food poisoning on this day. So on this morning, we woke up early and joined Zi Ning Jie Jie, Ta Yi Ma, Gong Gong and Poh Poh for dim sum breakfast at Island Plaza. Most of us did not eat much on this day but we appreciate the time gathering together before Zi Ning Jie Jie and Ta Yi Ma go back to Singapore.

In the afternoon, mummy invited Zi Ning Jie Jie, Ta Yi Yi, Poh Poh and Siao Yi Yi to Queensbaymall for some window shopping and lunch. We went to a new chinese restaurant in Queensbay. Chee Chee loves the piglet bun and she keeps smiling and starring at the piglet bun and don't feel like eating it. Chee Chee is so cute and adorable.

After lunch and shopping, we went back home and have some rest. This day was the 7th day of Chinese New Year which considered as "Human Day", so it is birthday for every human in the world. So tonight, we would have a dinner together at CRC restaurant. We also invited auntie Sonia, grand aunties, auntie Merline and everyone from home.

31 January 2009 - Saturday

After a midnight fishing, mummy was very tired and woke up late on this morning. When she woke up, mummy received a call from Gong Gong, saying that grandpa had admitted hospital due to food poisoning. It was a shocked to everyone and mummy and Chee Chee was rushing back home to meet daddy before go to Island hospital to visit grandpa. However, when mummy reach home, she was uncomfort and diarhea as well. When we reached hospital, Chee Chee saw grandpa but she was phobia with hospital, so she cried out loud and insists want to leave the room. So, we went back earlier. When we reach home, daddy was feeling bad as well. Mummy and daddy were food poisoning as well but they were not as serious as grandpa. We believed that it was caused by the duck noodles that we had when we were in Medan. It was terrible. But, luckily, grandpa, daddy and mummy recovered on the next day.

30 January 2009 - 5th day of Chinese New Year

On this day, we have to leave Medan and go back to Penang on this day. All of us woke up very early and got ourselves ready by 8am. Chee Chee had her breakfast and dressed herself and ready to depart to airport. Mummy and daddy had a very delicious duck noodles for breakfast.

After breakfast, we then heading to airport to catch our flight. This was a great trip to Medan. As Chee Chee is a big girl now and it was not troublesome at all to bring her back to Medan. So, mummy believes that we may come back to Medan more often to visit great grandpa.

Chee Chee was very excited and happy to travel on plane. She had a great time playing at the airport with grandpa an grandma.

When we went up to the plane, Chee Chee was with grandpa all the time and enjoying the view from plane. After 10 minutes, she felt tired and sleepy, so she slept on grandpa's arms. It was lovely and touched to be carried by grandpa for the whole journey back to Penang. Chee Chee only woke up when the flight landed in Penang. It was a pleasant trip to Medan. All of us enjoyed it very much.

We reached Penang during lunch time. We went home and get a quick bath and changed. After unpacked our luggage, we went to Poh Poh's house for lunch. Oh ya, Zi Ning Jie Jie and Ta Yi Ma were still at Poh Poh's house since 2nd day of Chinese New Year. Chee Chee was so excited to meet Zi Ning Jie Jie and both of them played together the whole afternoon.

It was a tiring day for Chee Chee. So on this night, Chee Chee went back home and slept early on this night. But, mummy was not tired and she went fishing at night with Zi Ning Jie Jie, Ta Yi Ma, all Yi Yi, Poh Poh and all grand aunties, grand uncles, aunties and uncles. It was our relatives' culture to go fishing at night and picnic at the beach. It was a great experience for Zi Ning and mummy hopes that Chee Chee may follow us for fishing when she is 3 years old. At the moment, Chee Chee still not suitable for such outdoor activities especially at night.
