26 May 2008 - Mummy on leave this day

Hurray.... mummy was on one day leave and accompanied Chee Chee for the whole day. On this morning, we had tried a brand new thing which is APPLE JUICE. To mummy, apple juice sounds like a nice and delicious drink but it is not that nice for Chee Chee.... As you can see on her face reaction, I think she need sometimes to accept this new drink. Anyway, it was a good try, hope Chee Chee will like it one day.

After lunch and nap, mummy brought Chee Chee to many places for shopping. We went to Giant at Bayan Lepas with Poh Poh, kakak Kathya and kakak Siti. We did some grocessaries shopping. At first Chee Chee was quite excited, but after sometimes looking at those detergents and shampoos, she started to feel boring and sleepy.

As there is nothing much to shop at Giant, we left the place and went to Queensbay Mall for more shopping. We had our teabreak at OldTown restaurant and did some baby clothes shopping at Jusco. Mummy had bought Chee Chee a lovely shirt at Baby Gap. At about 5pm, we left Queensbay Mall and heading back home. It was a great day.

25 May 2008 - Sunday

On this lovely Sunday morning, Chee Chee went to Island Plaza again for dim sum breakfast with Yeh Yeh, grandma, Gong Gong and Poh Poh only because mummy and daddy overslept. After the dim sum, Chee Chee went to Poh Poh's house to "ta bao" (takeaway) her porridge and have her lunch at home. After the lunch, Chee Chee played in her room and had a great nap in the afternoon.

Chee Chee woke up at 5pm and had her porridge again then took a lovely bath. She joined Yeh Yeh, grandma, daddy and mummy for dinner at Ryoma Japanese restaurant again. I think our weekend's activities are quite consistent and we also go to the similar restaurant. So the photos taken are about the same every week.

24 May 2008 - Another lovely weekend

Time really flies, it was another lovely weekend. 24 May 2008 was Chee Chee's great grandmother passed away 49 days. On this morning, we all woke up early and got dressed by 9am. All of us went back to Air Itam great grandma's house for praying. When we reached there, all auties and uncles were there, ready for praying. When Chee Chee saw them, she felt uncomfortable and cried because she is not familiar with all the faces, aiyoyo, baby, why like that???

After the praying, we went to Poh Poh's house for lunch. Today, we tried another new food which is potato. I think Chee Chee loves potatoes because we no need to force her to eat and she can nearly finished the whole bowl of porridge. We spend the whole afternoon at Poh Poh's house as we do not have music class this week due to public holiday.

In the evening, mummy send Chee Chee back home and then went to hospital to visit 5th uncle's newborn daugther - Teoh Wei Qing. She is mummy's cousin which means Chee Chee has to call her auntie, although, she is half year younger than Chee Chee. Wei Qing, welcome to the family......

Long weekend - Wesak Day

Oh no no no.... Chee Chee's mother is getting lazier and lazier... Initially, Chee Chee's blog was updated quite frequent. After 3 - 4 months, when mummy back to work, then the number of post was reducing. After 5 -6 months, mummy only updated the blog weekly. But now when Chee Chee wanna turn 7 months, mummy started to update her blog bi-weekly, which is every 2 weeks. So if that is the trend, what would happen when Chee Chee turn 1 year old, 2 year old, 3 year old...... I think the blog will be terminated or inactive already. Anyway, mummy will try her best to update the blog as frequent as possible. Hope we can maintain until Chee Chee turn 2 year old, at least.
So, what happened on this weekend, 17 May 2008? Anything special?? No, unfortunately, our main activities during the weekend were eating, eating and eating. Mummy did received come comments from friends saying that, our blog is mainly on where to go for good food. There is not much activities for Chee Chee, but only for mummy and daddy to eat from day to night. No wonder my mummy and daddy look so "F*T".......
So let's start with Saturday breakfast. We had our breakfast at Poh Poh's house. This week, Chee Chee had started her porridge with pumpkin. Last week, we had porridge with carrot and Chee Chee does not have problem eating carrot, so this week we try a new food which is pumpkin. I think pumpkin tastes nicer compare to carrot, at least, Chee Chee likes it more than carrot. However, feeding Chee Chee is not an easy job. We need at least 3 persons there to help Chee Chee eats. One person to feed Chee Chee the porridge, another one gives her water and 3rd person to dance or do funny post to make her laugh. Aiyo, tuan puteri, why can't you just sit back and enjoy the meal?

After the breakfast and lunch, Chee Chee went to Jinglemusic School as usual. But this time, she went there with daddy and grandma, because mummy went to Taiping with her colleagues. Therefore, no photo taken for the music class this week.
At night, mummy and daddy went out for dinner with their friends, therefore, no activity for Chee Chee except playing with grandpa and grandma at home. That's Chee Chee's lovely saturday night.
On Sunday morning, San Yi Yi called us out for dim sum breakfast at Island Plaza. As usual, we had a delicious and heavy breakfast. After the breakfast, we did some shopping at Metrojaya. Grandma bought Chee Chee a lovely toy-handphone and a shape sorter.

At night, we went to CityBayview for Japanese dinner. As we went to this restaurant quite often and had taken lots of photos last time, there is no further photos taken during the dinner. This end our great Sunday.

Monday morning, as it was Wesak Day, mummy did not go to work. Chee Chee woke up early in the morning and went for a ride with grandpa and grandma before mummy woke up. We had a light and easy day at home. When it was porridge time, we drove to Poh Poh's house for our lovely meal.
At night, we had our dinner with grandpa, grandma, daddy, mummy, Gong Gong, Poh Poh, Si Yi Yi and Jiu Jiu at Double Dragon Inn Restaurant. While everyone was eating, Chee Chee was having her apples as well.

That's end our 3 days long weekend. Hope to see our next post soon......

Mummy's First Mothers' Day 2008

11 May 2008, Sunday was Mothers' Day. It was mummy's first time to celebrate mothers' day. Early on this mothers' day, we woke up at 9am for dim sum breakfast with grandpa, grandma, gong gong, poh poh, all yi yi and jiu jiu. As Chee Chee is a big girl now and she is able to sit at the normal baby chair at the restaurant. It was a great mothers' day breakfast.

During lunch time, we went to Poh Poh's house to eat porridge again. As yesterday, Chee Chee had porridge with carrots. She seems to like porridge very much and she can took nearly a bowl.

After lunch, we went to Kim Poh's house to visit our cousin brother, Prince Alfred. He is very handsome and cute. We met him for the first time and took some photos with him. Unfortunately, Merline auntie said that the photos were corrupted by virus and had been reformatted. All photos are gone. But nevermind, we may take more photos some other time.

Today, we had our Mothers' Day dinner at CRC. Chee Chee was dressed like a princess for the dinner. Grandma had bought her a new and expensive hairband, which look very nice on Chee Chee. We had met some grandparents' close friends, all the grand-aunties and grand-uncles. Many of them praised that Chee Chee is very pretty and adorable. Chee Chee had met some baby friends on that night as well. It was a memorable night.

Mummy, Happy Mother's Day and I love you .......

10 May 2008 - First time eating porridge

This is another weekly updates. Chee Chee is 6 + months old now. She had taken rice cereal with milk for one week and she is doing fine with it. So mummy would like to proceed to let her try on the real porridge on 10 May 2008.

On Saturday morning, Poh Poh had ready all the ingredients such as brown rice and carrot. We used slow cooker to cook the porridge for 4 hours. It was smooth and soft but tasteless as we cannot add any else. We are glad that Chee Chee loves the porridge and she can finish nearly a bowl. We will continue to eat porridge with carrot for one week and will change to other food next week.

After lunch, Chee Chee had a short nap. When she woke up, mummy's friend (auntie Su Lin) was at poh poh's house. She came to visit Chee Chee and we took some photos together.

As usual, we had our music class at 4pm every Saturday. When we reached the entrance of Prima Tanjung, Chee Chee already can recognised the place and she was so excited. Today, we have started a new session again and teacher Emeline had introduced some new songs and new activities.

After the music class, we went back to Poh Poh's house as we bought 2 new baby high chairs, one put at poh poh's house and another put at grandma's house. It is very comfortable to sit and easy to keep.

This night, we have a pre-mothers' day dinner at Ryoma Japanese Restaurant. We had a private room for ourselves only and it was a great dinner.

1 May 2008 - First time food tasting

1 May 2008 was a public holiday, and mummy was working from home. Therefore, mummy decided to let Chee Chee started to take her solid food for the very first time. It was a great testing but unsuccessul as Chee Chee does not like the rice cereal at all. When she had her first bite, she nearly vomitted and gave me a very unhappy face. But it was funny. I had put the food testing process into a photos comics. Feel free to browse to the bottom of this blog and you will see the photo comics. Besides rice cereal, Chee Chee also took a rice cracker as her snack, but she does not like it as well. I think she need more times to accept the taste of other foods.
