One Month - Confinement Period

After 9 months of suffering and one day of torturing, Tze Chee has come to our family. She was weighted 4kg and with 52cm height. After 5 days staying in the hospital, we went back to my mother's house for confinement. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mother (although she will not read this) for everything she did and does for me and Tze Chee. I had a luxurious confinement at home. My mother cooks very well food and she is expert in taking care infant baby. Confinement means "sleep and eat only" to me. I had a great rest and took a lots of healthy food. I had 5 meals per day, so it is impossible for me to on diet during confinement. My mother also shared her experiences with me on how to raise a baby and of course provided training to me as well. Now, I have no problem in handling Tze Chee's daily acitivities, such as feeding, bathing, changing diapers & etc.

29 OCTOBER 2007

29 October 2007 was an unforgetable day for me and Ernest. It was Tze Chee's birth date. As I have high blood pressure (150/100), so my gynae adviced me to deliver my baby by induction. We had chosen this date as it was a Monday, 19th Sep in Lunar Calender (Guan Yin's birthday) and also Wei Teng's birthday.

After having the McD big breakfast, I admitted GMC at 8am and the induction started from 9am. Dr Yeoh had broken my water bag and the contraction began. Luckily, I took epidural from the beginning of contraction, so I don't feel any pain at all. However, because of taking epidural, it had dragged the labour process. Until 8pm, my vaginal area still not fully opened. My parents and parents in law were very worried. They came to the hospital and waited for me outside the labour room. Dr Yeoh came to me at 8pm, she started to force me to push as I had been dragging too long and it might harm the baby and myself too. 2 nurses came in and they helped me and teached my how to push. Ernest was there with me all the time. It was a very terrible & horrible experience but very touching too. 29 October 2007, 10:25pm : The arrival of Lim Tze Chee to the whole new world.

Oh My God, I am Pregnant !!!

It was a sunny Monday morning in March 2007, special day for Ernest and I. Oh Oh Oh...double lines! double lines!...Both of us were so excited when I was tested as pregnant. Our life changed from this day... A brand new life started to grow in my stomach...

The excitement stayed for one month, and my morning sickness began on the second month of my pregnancy. It was bad, terrible, horrible... I vomitted after every single meals and feel sleepy all the time. Help me! Help me! When will this over? It was a hard time for me. Luckily, this critical period only last for 3 months. From the 5th month of my pregnancy, I stop vomitting and not so tiring. From that time onwards, i started to gain weight. Here comes the problem, I have high blood pressure and I gained 22kg. I was overweighted and baby too. So my gynae (Dr Yeoh Chee Lim) suggested that I should performed the induction and let my baby comes out on her estimated due date which is 29 Oct 2007.
