Mummy's First Mothers' Day 2008

11 May 2008, Sunday was Mothers' Day. It was mummy's first time to celebrate mothers' day. Early on this mothers' day, we woke up at 9am for dim sum breakfast with grandpa, grandma, gong gong, poh poh, all yi yi and jiu jiu. As Chee Chee is a big girl now and she is able to sit at the normal baby chair at the restaurant. It was a great mothers' day breakfast.

During lunch time, we went to Poh Poh's house to eat porridge again. As yesterday, Chee Chee had porridge with carrots. She seems to like porridge very much and she can took nearly a bowl.

After lunch, we went to Kim Poh's house to visit our cousin brother, Prince Alfred. He is very handsome and cute. We met him for the first time and took some photos with him. Unfortunately, Merline auntie said that the photos were corrupted by virus and had been reformatted. All photos are gone. But nevermind, we may take more photos some other time.

Today, we had our Mothers' Day dinner at CRC. Chee Chee was dressed like a princess for the dinner. Grandma had bought her a new and expensive hairband, which look very nice on Chee Chee. We had met some grandparents' close friends, all the grand-aunties and grand-uncles. Many of them praised that Chee Chee is very pretty and adorable. Chee Chee had met some baby friends on that night as well. It was a memorable night.

10 May 2008 - First time eating porridge

This is another weekly updates. Chee Chee is 6 + months old now. She had taken rice cereal with milk for one week and she is doing fine with it. So mummy would like to proceed to let her try on the real porridge on 10 May 2008.

On Saturday morning, Poh Poh had ready all the ingredients such as brown rice and carrot. We used slow cooker to cook the porridge for 4 hours. It was smooth and soft but tasteless as we cannot add any else. We are glad that Chee Chee loves the porridge and she can finish nearly a bowl. We will continue to eat porridge with carrot for one week and will change to other food next week.

After lunch, Chee Chee had a short nap. When she woke up, mummy's friend (auntie Su Lin) was at poh poh's house. She came to visit Chee Chee and we took some photos together.

As usual, we had our music class at 4pm every Saturday. When we reached the entrance of Prima Tanjung, Chee Chee already can recognised the place and she was so excited. Today, we have started a new session again and teacher Emeline had introduced some new songs and new activities.

After the music class, we went back to Poh Poh's house as we bought 2 new baby high chairs, one put at poh poh's house and another put at grandma's house. It is very comfortable to sit and easy to keep.

This night, we have a pre-mothers' day dinner at Ryoma Japanese Restaurant. We had a private room for ourselves only and it was a great dinner.

1 May 2008 - First time food tasting

1 May 2008 was a public holiday, and mummy was working from home. Therefore, mummy decided to let Chee Chee started to take her solid food for the very first time. It was a great testing but unsuccessul as Chee Chee does not like the rice cereal at all. When she had her first bite, she nearly vomitted and gave me a very unhappy face. But it was funny. I had put the food testing process into a photos comics. Feel free to browse to the bottom of this blog and you will see the photo comics. Besides rice cereal, Chee Chee also took a rice cracker as her snack, but she does not like it as well. I think she need more times to accept the taste of other foods.

29 April 2008 - Chee Chee's half year old birthday

Today is Chee Chee half year old birthday - 29 April 2008. It is a special day, but we did not do anything special as mummy and daddy are working on this day. However, we are glad that Chee Chee is growing fast and healthy in this 6 months. We really hope that she can be a happy baby girl forever.

Our life has changed completely in the past 6 months with the arrival of Chee Chee to the family. She had brought a lot of joys and smiles to us. Everybody loves Chee Chee and Chee Chee loves everybody too.

Although we did not celebrate on this big day, but mummy and daddy still loves Chee Chee so much. We had a great time together at night and had took many photos of Chee Chee. Chee Chee was dressed like a little lady bird and she looks adorable. This little lady bird costum is a gift from mummy's friends on Chee Chee's fullmoon. Thank you so much to Uncle Alvin, Auntie Pui Sin, Auntie Teelynn, Auntie Jane and Auntie Soo Sun. Chee Chee loves you all......

April 26,2008 - Lovely weekend

Time really flies, it is almost end of April 2008. This weekend, as usual, we had a lot of outting and dining. On this Saturday morning, we went to poh poh's house and had our own sweet time playing with yi yi and poh poh. In the afternoon, we went to Jinglemusic school as scheduled. All these activities are repeated every weekend. Besides that, we did something special this weekend which was having dinner with daddy's close friends at TGIF. It has been such a long time that Chee Chee did not went out with daddy's friends. So, to meet up with all the aunties and uncles, we had dinner together. It was really a great dinner.

On the sunny Sunday morning, all of us woke up early and went to Island Plaza for a dim sum breakfast. Kong Kong, Poh Poh and Yi Yi were with us as well. We made a new friend on this day and his name is Christopher. He is a sweet and gentle boy who is 5 years elder than Chee Chee. Nice meeting you, Chris.....

As usual, we did not do anything much in the afternoon, as it is the sweet resting time at home. At night, we went to a new place - Egate Noodle Station for dinner. It was our first time there and it was quite good in overall.

Welcome our new family member - Prince Alfred !!!

Today (22 April 2008) is a very special day especially to Chun Beng and wife. I would like to annouce with warm welcome the arrival of Prince Alfred. Who is Prince Alfred? He is Princess Chee Chee's cousin brother. Prince Alfred arrived in Pantai Hospital in the afternoon around 3:30pm. He was weight at 3.5kg. Alfred's mother and Alfred are doing fine. We will give them some visits in the next few days and more photos will be share later. Congratulations to Chun Beng and family !!! Alfred, welcome to the family......

Wonderful weekend !!!

Chee Chee's weekend is always full of activities and outting. Last weekend was a great weekend for Chee Chee again. Uncle Woon Cit and auntie Wei were still in Penang on Saturday but they left Penang in the evening.

This Saturday was also Chee Chee's second music lesson. As usual, Chee Chee loved the lesson and she enjoyed the every moment in the class.

Sunday was also a great day for Chee Chee. When mummy woke up at 9:30am, she unable to find Chee Chee in her room.... WHY? WHY? WHY? Don't worry, Chee Chee is safe and sound. She was having a great time, eating dim sum with her grandparents at Northam Hotel. She went there with Yeh Yeh (grandfather), Ah Mah (grandmother), Kakak Kathya, and they met up with Gong Gong (grandpa), Poh Poh (grandma), san yi yi (Wei Li), san yi chang (Guan Chye) and si yi yi (Wei Teng), but without mummy and daddy. After the dim sum, Chee Chee came back and had a shower. Then, we went to Poh Poh's house. There was some Indian celebration and the Indian temple was crowded. There were some stall that sold balloon and daddy bought Chee Chee 2 very nice balloon.
On Sunday night, we went to Gurney Plaza for dinner. Before the dinner, we did some window shopping and after that, we had a great dinner at Kim Gary. Chee Chee's weekend was very happening. It was full of joys and cheers.

Sunday events (13 April 2008)

Mummy noted that Chee Chee actually went out a lot during weekend and mostly to shopping mall and restaurant. This Sunday was another happening Sunday for Chee Chee. This Sunday was Chee Chee's first time to Island Plaza. We went there for dim sum breakfast with uncle Woon Cit, auntie Wei, grandma, daddy and mummy. After the loving dim sum, we did some shopping at Island Plaza.

After shopping, as usual, we came back home for a short nap. Then later in the afternoon, we went to Poh Poh's house for high tea. Chee Chee got a sweet rest at Poh Poh house too.

This night, we had our dinner at Summer Garden. It is a new place for Chee Chee. Chee Chee likes the lighting and decoration in the restaurant. Her grandpa brought her walked around the restaurant the whole night.

Saturday events (12 April 2008)

Saturday is a music day for Chee Chee. Last week we had skipped our first lesson as Chee Chee took her 3rd dose injection and rest at home the whole day. So this Saturday, we were back to SCHOOL......

This day was considered a first proper paid lesson for Chee Chee. Chee Chee's grandmother followed us to the class as well. It was a great lesson and Chee Chee enjoyed it very much, so as grandmother. Teacher Emmeline praised that Chee Chee is a happy baby and keep smiling all the time. Mummy really feel grateful that we found this music class for Chee Chee. Besides mummy and grandma, daddy also enjoyed and had a great time dancing with Chee Chee. It is a great interact class for the whole family.

As uncle Woon Cit and auntie Wei were back in Penang, so we had dinner together at Dragon Inn, Queensbay Mall. Chee Chee was able to sit on the baby high chair supported by the bloster herself. It was a heavy dinner again and everyone had a great time together.

Back dated blog - A lovely but unforgettable Sunday

Actually last Sunday (6 April 2008), Chee Chee did a lot of outting and mummy wish to update her blog on that nite, but unfortunately, on this night, Chee Chee's great grandmother passed away at 8:15pm in Adventist Hospital.

On this lovely Sunday morning, Chee Chee joined her grandparents and parents to Old Town in New World for breakfast. We ordered a lot of foods and had a great time walking around the place. There is a mini water fountain and we took a few photos there. The atmosphere was great and kids running around with cheers.

We did not do much in the afternoon except for sleeping and relaxing at home. At dinner time, we went to Queensbay Mall. We had a great and heavy dinner at Paddington Pancake house. It was really nice and Chee Chee even ordered a huge meal for herself. You don't believe that, please see the photos below.

After the dinner, we did some shopping. During this time, grandmother received a call from Adventist Hospital and told us that great grandmother was critically ill and might need us to go to hospital immediately. At the very urgent moment, mummy still unaware and shopping at the toy shop. When we were on way back, we received the call from hospital saying that great grandmother had passed away and left us forever. 曾祖母，请安息吧！
