13 July 2009 - Monday (Public Holiday)

This day was a replacement public holiday for mummy's company. So mummy and daddy did not have to go to work. When Chee Chee saw mummy was leisurely playing with in this morning without carrying her working bag, Chee Chee awared that mummy was not going to work today. Chee Chee was very happy and excited to see mummy staying at home and playing with her.

As it was a public holiday and we do not want to waste our holiday staying at home doing nothing, mummy decided to bring Chee Chee to Taiping Zoo. Daddy did not rejected and agreed to bring Chee Chee to visit a better and bigger zoo.

All of us got ready quite early this morning and we were heading to Taiping at around 9am. It took us about one and a half hour to reach Taiping. With the clear sign board, we managed to find the Taiping Zoo easily. Chee Chee was very excited when she get down from the car.

As this day was a replacement public holiday for mummy's company only and it was not public holiday in Taiping, therefore, there was not much visitors to the zoo on this day. After daddy bought us the entrance ticket, we started our adventurous visit to the Taiping Zoo. The zoo is quite big and well organised. There were many animals inside the zoo compared to the mini zoo at Bukit Merah. We saw some Orang Utan, leopard, hippopotamus, tigers, lions, giraffe, zebra and etc. The place is quite interesting and perfect environment, but the only weakness is there is no crowd visited the zoo on this day.

3 of us had a great walking in the zoo as the zoo is quite big. After about 2 hours walking, Chee Chee started to get tired and lazy to walk further. Daddy had to carry her and sometime put her in the troller. We had insisted to complete the whole zoo within few hours. At around 12:30pm, we decided to heading home for our lunch. It was a great experience and fun to visit Taiping Zoo. We will plan for our next trip to here again soon. If we would to come again, we will stay a bit longer and visit the Taiping Lake as well. However, it is enough for this day and we will come here again.

Chee Chee went back to Poh Poh's house to have her lunch and afternoon nap. She slept until 6pm only woke up for bath. She enjoyed some bread after a good sleep and bath. It was a great day.

12 July 2009 - Sunday

Time flies so fast, it was Sunday again. As usual, we had to attend the music lesson on Sunday morning. Chee Chee woke up slightly later this weekend as we had to join the later music class at 10:30am as all our classmates at 9:30am cannot make it for the lesson. So, we had to join other kids for the lesson. All the kids in that class are more mature and active. We had a great time playing with so many kids together. It was a big class.

After the music lesson, it was a bit late. We decided to go to Gurney Plaza for our brunch. Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace were already at Gurney Plaza. They were having their brunch at Nandos Restaurant. We were heading there to meet up with them for our brunch as well.

When we got to Gurney, grandma and auntie Sujeni were shopping together. Chee Chee was joining grandma while mummy and daddy were having their brunch. After finished the meal, mummy, daddy and Chee Chee had some window shopping together. It was real fun. After the Gurney shopping, we went back home for Chee Chee's lunch and her afternoon nap.

At night, all of us decided to have some western food, therefore, we decided to go to Mizzi Restaurant at New World Park. It was quite happening and crowded in New World Park as there were celebration on the pre-Bon Odori Japanese festival. It was a great time together with grandpa, grandma, Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace.

8 July 2009 - Happy Birthday to Daddy!!!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!!!

Happy Birthday to daddy!!! This day was daddy's big day and so do we! This was the 2nd times Chee Chee celebrate this day with daddy together. Last year, Chee Chee was still an infant while celebrated daddy's birthday, but this year, Chee Chee can sing daddy a lovely birthday song already. Happy Birthday song is Chee Chee's favourite song.

On this day, mummy and daddy were on leave and they had a full day plan for 3 of us. We woke up early in the morning but undecided to go where for breakfast. After discussing, daddy decided to go to some where special and some where we all never thought before. We decided to go to Penang Hill for brunch and some sight seeing.
















Mummy and Chee Chee just came to Penang Hills few weeks back when Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning were here. But for daddy, he has been long long time never come to Penang Hill already.

We reached the cable car station at around 10:30am and it was unexpectedly crowded. Daddy was quite surprised to see so many people coming to Penang Hill on Wednesday. We had to queue for half an hour and managed to catch the 2nd round cable car.

The weather and view from the top of Penang Hill is perfect and wonderful. 3 of us took a lot of photos together and had a very great background. After a short walk, we decided to go to the restaurant nearby for our brunch.


When we entered the restaurant, it was quite impressive and the environment is very westernized. The place is very green and homey. We had a great walk at the garden and it is very relaxing. After taking lots of photos and sight seeing around the place, we decided to talk our brunch in the restaurant. We ordered a chicken chop and a western high-tea set lunch. The food there is quite normal but the view is really excellent. Chee Chee got the chance to play around at the compound while daddy and mummy enjoying their meals. It was really a perfect place for a perfect day like this.

After spending 2-3 hours on Penang Hill, we decided to go back to Poh Poh's house for Chee Chee's lunch and nap. After a tiring walk at Penang Hill, all of us had a good rest in the afternoon.

At night, daddy treated all of us, including grandpa, grandma, Suk Suk, Sen Sen, Grace, Gong Gong, Poh Poh, Siao Yi Yi and Jiu Jiu for a great birthday dinner at Tian Tian Restaurant. It was a great opportunity to bring everyone together. All of us enjoyed the meal and had sung a birthday song for daddy. It was a wonderful day for all of us. Happy Birthday to Daddy and Chee Chee always loves you!!!

5 July 2009 – (Sunday)

After Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning went back to Singapore, our life here is quite routine. It was another Sunday, and it was our music class day. As usual, we attended our music class in the morning. After music class, we decided to meet up with grandpa, grandma, Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace at Gurney Plaza. On this day, they decided to have the brunch at Kou Fu Loof Restaurant in Gurney Plaza. We had some tim sum and noodles for brunch. It was lovely and pleasure to gather together on the sunny Sunday morning.

After brunch, we had some shopping in Gurney Plaza. After a short while, we went back home for Chee Chee's lunch and afternoon nap.

Chee Chee woke up from afternoon nap quite early on this day. So we decided to have our dinner earlier and further. We decided to go to Queensbay Mall for Paddington. It has been quite some times we did not come to Paddington already. The pancakes are still very delicious and yummy for all of us. After dinner, we had some reading at Borders Book Shop. There is a kids corner and Chee Chee found that place interesting and fun. She had a great time reading and playing with some kids. It was a nice place to read and play. We may come here more often.

28 June 2009 – (Sunday)

As usual, we attended our music class early on Sunday morning. After the class, we met up with grandpa, grandma, Suk Suk, Sen Sen and baby Grace at Queensbay Mall for brunch. We went to the same restaurant as last week, Canton-I for a heavy and delicious brunch. Grandma had ordered a lot of nice food for us and all of us had a great meal together. After the brunch, we all of us were too full, we decided to have some window shopping at Queensbay Mall. While mummy shopping, Chee Chee was having fun at the playground with daddy. All of us had a pleasure time together.

After having fun at Queensbay Mall, we heading home for Chee Chee’s lunch and afternoon nap. She had a great and sweet sleep in the afternoon.

At night, grandma decided to bring all of us to Penang Time Square for dinner at a Nyonya Restaurant. It was our first time to this restaurant and the food is nice and delicious as well. After the dinner, we were hanging around the place but there were not much crowd at this night.
