17, 18 & 19 October 2009 - Trip to Kuala Lumpur

It was a long weekend due to Deepavali public holiday. We had decided to organise a family trip to Kuala Lumpur on this long weekend. On Saturday morning, all of us was very excited and woke up early to get ourselves ready. We had our breakfast at Liang Liang restaurant and departed for our KL trip at 9am.

Grandpa, Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace were in one car heading in front of us and daddy, mummy, grandma and Chee Chee were in another car following behing them. Both cars drove smoothly and slowly for about 4 hours, and we reached KL at lunch time. We had our lunch before checked in to the hotel. We reached the hotel at about 2pm but they were unable to let us check in as the rooms were not ready. We had some window shopping near the hotel and we only managed get the room at around 5:30pm. It was really bad impression about the hotel for giving us the room late. At night, we had our dinner at the ground floor of Star Hills and we did some shopping at Pavillion after dinner.

On Sunday morning, the weather was perfect for some outdoor activity. Therefore, after taking our breakfast in hotel, mummy and daddy decided to bring Chee Chee to Zoo Negara. San Yi Yi also came to the hotel to meet us and followed us to the Zoo as well. As grandma, Suk Suk and Sen Sen were having their great time shopping and left only grandpa, he also decided to join our zoo trip.

We reached the zoo at around 10am and there were quite crowded on this day as it was public holiday. When we first entered the zoo, we took the shuttle bus which can brought us around the zoo. It was good to have an overview on what we can see in the zoo by taking the shuttle bus, so it can save our energy for walking too much. The zoo is quite big and there were various type of animals, such as elephant, tiger, lion, zebra, leopard, bear, monkey and etc etc.......





























Besides that, we also watched the animal shows at the theather. It was really crowded. The show started with some parrots show, seal performance and a lot more. Chee Chee, mummy, san yi yi, daddy and grandpa also had a great time watching the interesting show.

After the show, we continued with the sightseeing of all the animals. Chee Chee was every excited and curious to see all kind of animals. It was great experience and exposure for all of us.

We left the zoo at around 1pm and heading back to hotel to meet grandma, Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace for lunch. After the lunch, daddy, Chee Chee and grandpa had a lovely nap in hotel while mummy, San Yi Yi, grandma, Suk Suk and Sen Sen having their great time shopping at Pavillion.

On Monday morning, we also woke up early and had the breakfast in hotel. After the breakfast, we decided to go to KLCC. San Yi Yi was unable to join us on this day as she needed to go to work on this day. But she recommended us to go to the aquarium at KLCC. Daddy, mummy and Chee Chee took some photos in KLCC, then we were heading towards Aquaria.

It was our first time to Aquaria which we just knew that there is an aquarium at the exhibition center of KLCC. It was a long walk from KLCC to the exhibition center. We got there around 11pm and Chee Chee was very happy to see so many fishes.

It was a nice place to visit as it is fully air-conditional and indoor. When we first entered, we saw some tropical fishes and also inserts. There are many kinds of fishes which mummy also don't know how to name it. But it really worth the money back when you see Chee Chee was enjoying herself in the aquarium.

The most impressive session was the shark corner. There was an auto path way at the shark session. You can stand on the auto rail path and enjoying the underwater world with many sharks around. Chee Chee was scare and nervous to see so many sharks in one time. It was another great experience for all of us.

After visiting the aquaria, we went back to hotel for our lunch with grandpa, grandma, Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace. After the lunch, we were heading back to Penang. It was a great family trip together and we hope to come to KL again....

12 October 2009 - Special Day

What is so special about this day? 12 October 2009 was San Yi Yi's birthday. Happy Birthday to San Yi Yi and may all your wishes come true.

Besides San Yi Yi's birthday, it was also the grand opening of "My Precious Kids" blogspot. "My Precious Kids" is the online shop on little girls dresses which founded by mummy and Sen Sen. 11 October 2009 - Sunday

On this Sunday, daddy, mummy and Chee Chee woke up early in the morning for the Muzikgarten lesson. It was Chee Chee's favourite lesson so until today, we still insist of attending this lovely music lesson on early Sunday morning.

After the music lesson, we decided to go to Gurney Plaza for our brunch. We went to a new Chinese Restaurant near the cinema of Gurney Plaza. All of us enjoyed the food very much. After the brunch, we had some window shopping for an hour.

In the evening, daddy decided to bring us to Penang Swimming Club for a swim. Chee Chee just bought a new float in Toy r Us this morning. So we brought our new float and had a great swim on this evening.

10 October 2009 - Saturday

It was another Saturday. As usual, we had our Tumbletots session in the morning. After the session, we went back to Poh Poh's house to wait for daddy to come and pick us out for lunch.

On this day, daddy had a lunch appointment with his ex-colleagues at G Hotel. Chee Chee and mummy went together with daddy for the lunch gathering. We had met a lot of daddy's friends and their kids. It was Chee Chee's second time to meet up baby Jin. Baby Jin is uncle Steven and auntie Lee Ling's handsome son. He is very cute and handsome. All of us had a great time at G Hotel, the buffet lunch was quite nice and it is great to meet up with daddy's friends.

Chee Chee was busy eating and running here and there. Siao Yi Yi also joined us for the buffet lunch. All of us took a lot of photos together and we hope to have such gathering more often.

9 October 2009 - Friday

Great grandpa was back to Penang on 8 October 2009 for his optical check up. Great grand uncle was accompanying him back to Penang as great grandpa needed to have a minor surgery on his eyes. On the next day, great grandpa was fully recovered and was able to come out for dinner with us together.

We had our dinner at Tian Tian Restaurant with great grandpa and great granduncle together. It was nice to sit down together and had a great time. We hope great grandpa get well soon and be healthy always.

4 October 2009 - Sunday

This day was mummy's Chinese Lunar Calendar birthday. It was the day after Lattern Festival. As per Poh Poh, 31 years back, after celebrating the Lattern Festival and she ate too much pamelo and felt uncomfort, then admitted to hospital, the next day, she delivered Chee Chee's mummy. So as usual, the day after Lattern Festival, we will celebrate mummy's Chinese Lunar's birthday.

But this day, Ta Yi Yi, Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning were back to Singapore early in the morning. Chee Cee missed them so much and really hope to see them back in Penang soon.

3 October 2009 – Lanterns Festival (Saturday)

It was a day that everyone of us had been waiting for. Chuan Zheng and Zi Ning’s trip back to Penang also because of this day. This day was Lanterns Festival or you can also called it Mooncake Festival ,as long as it is a festival to bring everyone together, it is a great festival.

Early on this morning, as usual, Chee Chee and Chloe had to attend their baby gym session at Tumbletots. After the lesson, we went back to Poh Poh's house and waiting for the arrival of mummy's old old old best friend. Chee Chee never meet this auntie before as this auntie is staying at US and was not back to Penang for past 4 years. Her last visit back to Penang was on mummy and daddy's wedding day. She is auntie Yuin Ying. She is mummy's old and best friend since school time. On this day, auntie Yuin Ying was back and she was coming to Poh Poh's house to meet us. We were very glad to see auntie Yuin Ying and we had a great chat. Auntie Yuin Ying bought Chee Chee a big and lovely bear. We hope we can go to US next time to visit auntie Yuin Ying and her husband.

After auntie Yuin Ying left, mummy put Chee Chee to bed for a nap. While Chee Chee was sleeping, mummy, Ta Yi Yi and Poh Poh went to market to buy some foods for this night Lattern Festival celebration. We planned to have a BBQ dinner plus steamboat dinner on this night. Ta Yi Yi also bought us some tranditional style latterns. It will be a great fun tonight.

In the evening, everyone at home was busy with the preparation for tonight BBQ and steamboat dinner. Jiu Jiu and Chuan Zheng were busying set up the BBQ stove, Ta Yi Yi, Poh Poh, Si Yi Yi, Siao Yi Yi and mummy were busy preparing the food. All of us had put a lot of efforts to make this a memorable and wonderful night.

Gong Gong was back earlier on this night too. We had invited Grandpa and Grandma to join us for the party as well. Suk Suk, Sen Sen and Grace had to attend a friend's wedding dinner, so they were unable to make it for the party.

At around 7pm, it rained heavily. But it doesn't stop us for celebrationg the wonderful night with the latterns light. We pushed everything under the roof and started the BBQ and steamboat session. There were a lot of delicious and nice foods. All of us were very full and satisfied.

After the eating session, we started to light up our latterns. Chuan Zheng, Zi Ning, Chee Chee and Grace were very excited and each of them had a lovely lattern. As Grace is still small, so she got an electronics lattern on this night. She can get a real one when she is bigger. We lighted up the candles in the latterns and Chuan Zheng leaded Zi Ning and Chee Chee to carry the latterns. It was a fun and precious moments together. Everyone of us had a great night at home.

Besides, we also had some mooncakes, yam and kuih as our desserts of the night. Chee Chee loves the mooncake very much. It was really a great Mooncake Festival ever. Happy Mooncake Festival. All of us had a great fun. It will be even better if San Yi Yi and San Yi Chang can joined us for the night, but unfortunately, they had to attend a wedding dinner in KL, so cannot join us for the night. Anyway, Happy Lattern Fest to everyone!!!
