29 Oct 2008 - Happy 1st Birthday to Chee Chee

Today is a big big day for Chee Chee and also mummy and also Si Yi Yi. It is Chee Chee 1st Birthday. She is one year old now..... Mummy's big big girl. Si Yi Yi is 24 year old now. Chee Chee and Si Yi Yi have the same birth date, therefore, today we will celebrate this big day together.

Mummy was on leave today and had made an photos shooting appointment for Chee Chee. The appointment was at 2pm. We went there with Poh Poh and Kakak Katya as well. Chee Chee is very cute and adorable. At first, she was shy meeting the strangers, but after awhile, she was used to it and really good in posting. We had fun taking the studio photos for Chee Chee. After one an a half hour, daddy came to join us and we took some family photos together. By this Saturday, we may go to the shop to select the photos. Hope it will be nice. After the photo shooting, we went back home to take a bath and rest. Chee Chee slept for an hour and we left Poh Poh's house and heading home.

On this night, we had a buffet dinner at G-Hotel with everyone. It was Chee Chee and Si Yi Yi's birthday celebration. Chee Chee was dressed like a princess. All of us met at G-Hotel at 7:30pm. The theme of buffet was international buffet. The food was not very nice but we had a great time together with Yeh Yeh, Ah Ma, Gong Gong, Poh Poh, Yi Yis and Jiu Jiu. Uncle Bee also came to join us for the dinner.

G-Hotel is a very nice and elegant hotel. The food just taste averagely, but the environment and atmosphere was great in the hotel. All of us took a lot of photos on this night. We had a great chat and fun together.

After the buffet dinner, the waiter push the cakes out for cake cutting ceremony. The hotel gave us a piece of free cake and Yi Yi also ordered a big 1 year old cake for Chee Chee. The cake is very cute with a Minnie holding a 1. All of us sang a birthday song for Si Yi Yi and Chee Chee. Both of them made a wish, blow the candles and cut the cakes together. The feeling is amazing. Mummy still remember clearly that last year this day, she was suffering for 15 hours in the labour room to deliver Chee Chee. But today, Chee Chee is a 1 year old baby. Time really flies so fast.

Today is a amazing day for mummy, Chee Chee, Si Yi Yi and also Poh Poh. 24 years back of this day, Poh Poh also suffering in the labour room to deliver Si Yi Yi, hahahahaha....... It is great to be a mother and to have a daugther like Chee Chee. Happy Birthday to Si Yi Yi and Tze Chee. Wish you both happy always .......

27 Oct 2008 - Public Holiday

Hurray! hurray! this day was a public holiday and everyone does not need to go to work. That means we would accompany Chee Chee for the whole day. On this day, daddy suggested to bring us to Butterworth for breakfast and also tour around the town, factory and housing area in Butterworth. All of us dressed early in the morning and waiting to depart.

We reached Auto City at 10am, but most of the restaurants are not yet open. We only managed to find some fast food restaurants and old town. Therefore, we decided to have our breakfast at old town. Yeh Yeh, Ah Ma and Chee Chee had taken some photos together in the Old Town Restaurant.

After the breakfast, we tour around Butterworth. Daddy rounded the town of Butterworth, some factory area and also housing area. All of us had a great time for a little local tour. We went back to Penang during lunch time. Chee Chee had her lunch at Poh Poh's house and spend the whole afternoon at Poh Poh's house.

On this night, we had our dinner at one of the coffee shop in Gurney Drive. It was Chee Chee's first time to this restaurant because it was a bit stuffy place and hot for Chee Chee. But Chee Chee is a big girl now, so we feel more comfortable to bring her here. It was a great dinner at sunset.

26 Oct 2008 - Deepavali eve Sunday

Today is Deepavali eve Sunday. Therefore, there is no Musikgarten class today. So mummy, daddy and Chee Chee woke up late today. Chee Chee woke mummy and daddy up at 9am. After breakfast and shower, Chee Chee went down to play at the dining area while mummy went to shower. When mummy was showered, she noticed that Chee Chee was not at home and was taken by Ah Ma to her friend's house. Chee Chee was dressed very casually but luckily was not too bad. After visiting Ah Ma's friend, Chee Chee came back for a nap. She woke up at 1:30pm and had her lunch at home.

At 3pm, mummy and daddy brought Chee Chee out to Gurney Plaza for a drink. We went to Chillis to meet daddy's friends. It was quite some time Chee Chee did not meet up with all the aunties and uncles. What a coincident, we met uncle Laurence with his either friends or relatives. He introduced his friend's son who is 13 months old to Chee Chee. The little baby boy was very handsome. Chee Chee had a great time with everyone at Chillis. There was one photo taken with Uncle Chian Wei. As Chee Chee doesn't want uncle Chian Wei to carry, therefore, uncle Chian Wei had to hug daddy and pretending Chee Chee was holding daddy's hand. The photo looks so funny as uncle Chian Wei was hugging daddy. All of us had a great laugh this afternoon. We left Chillis at 5pm and heading home to have a nap.

Today is Ah Ma's Chinese Lunar Calendar's birthday. All of us celebrated Ah Ma's birthday at Rasa Sayang's coffee house (called Spice Market). It was out first time to Rasa Sayand after the renovation. It is really a very grand and nice hotel.

We had the buffet dinner at the coffee house. There were serving internation buffet today. There were many choices and varieties. The food was so presentable and delicious. As Chee Chee is big girl now, so mummy had decided to let Chee Chee ate the bread served in the buffet. Chee Chee loves the bun so much.

25 October 2008 - Saturday

As usual, we had our tumbletots class at 9am morning on Saturday. Auntie Eileen came to pick us around 8:40am. Mummy and Chee Chee had tried to wake up earlier, but still made Auntie Eileen and Chloe waited for us for few minutes, what a shame. I think next week we need to wake up even earlier than usual to get ourselves ready.

After the tumbletots class, mummy and Chee Chee went to Poh Poh's house for brunch. We met Auntie Anna and Uncle Graham too. On this day, Auntie Anna and Uncle Graham will be moving to Auntie Bee Leng's house. Therefore, all of us went to Auntie Bee Leng's house together.

It was a long journey to Auntie Bee Leng's house. When we reached Auntie Bee Leng's house, it was nearly 3:30pm. Chee Chee was a bit tired with the long journey travelling, but when she got into Auntie Bee Leng's house, she was awake and fresh. Chee Chee was so excited and happy to meet Alfred. She had a great time playing with Alfred and did their baby talk. Both of them cannot sleep in the afternoon, because both of them were over excited and it was too happening in the house. Auntie Bee Leng's house is so comfortable. All of us just made ourselves at home. We had some drinks with dolnuts and tambun biscuit.

At about 5:30pm, all of us sat together and started to have the early steamboat dinner. It was a delicious and warming dinner. All of us sat together and it was like a pre-reunion dinner. Thank you to Auntie Bee Leng and Uncle Tang for the yummy steamboat dinner. While we were enjoying our steamboat dinner, at the same time, Chee Chee was enjoying her portriage dinner as well.

After the dinner and a short chat, we left Auntie Bee Leng's house by 7:45pm. As it was a long weekend for Deepavali Holiday, the Penang Bridge was very very jammed. We had spend nearly an hour stacked in the traffic at the birdge toll. Chee Chee was so tired and falled a sleep in the car. We reached home at 9:45pm. It was a happening and tiring day for Chee Chee.

19 Oct 2008 - Sunday

On this Sunday, as usual, we woke up early for the Muzikgarten class. It was another fun and interesting class for Chee Chee. After the class, we went to GMC hospital because there were some rashes on Chee Chee's body. After checking with the pediatrician, Dr Rama, he confirmed that it was not rashes but just some mosquito bites. After visit the doctor, we rushed back home to change and heading to Traders Hotel for San Yi Yi's food tasting. It is 2 months counting down to San Yi Yi's wedding. Today is the food tasting for her wedding dinner. There were 2 tables together with auntie Anna, uncle Grham, Ah Kim, Ah Yi, Mei Ling Yi Yi, Su Su, Sen Sen and everyone in the pictures below.

On this night, it was auntie Lin Lin's wedding dinner. So Chee Chee had to stay at home with Yeh Yeh and Ah Ma. Congratulations to auntie Lin Lin and her hubby......

17 Oct 2008 - Chee Chee's Chinese lunar calendar birthday

17 Oct 2008 which was also 19 Sep 2008 in Chinese Lunar Calendar, was Chee Chee's 1 st Chinese calendar birthday. Mummy was on vacation leave this day to celebrate the big day with Chee Chee. All of us woke up early in the morning and got ourselves changed. On this day, it was Guan Yin Ma's birthday as well, therefore, we need to go to temple to pray. Before going to the temple, we need to buy some kuih and also nasi kunyit to pray at home. Mummy went to buy the praying stuffs from Eaton.

We went to Pek Yi Tong and Guan Yin Tng for praying. It was really crowded, so Chee Chee just went into Pek Yi Tong and did not enter Guan Yin Tng. Mummy just represented Chee Chee to pray in Guan Yin Tng. After praying at temples, we went home to pray and also at Poh Poh's house. On this day, Chee Chee was dressed with new dress and new shoes. It was Chee Chee's first time wearing the leather shoes as it was not allow before the aged of 1. The dress was bought by auntie Anna and the shoes were bought by Ta Yi Yi from Singapore. Thank you so much to auntie Anna and Ta Yi Yi.

On this day, Su Su and Sen Sen were back to Penang. They had bought a very nice present for Chee Chee. It was a lovely car walker with lots of functions and music. Chee Chee loves the car so much and she had spend her time playing with it. Thank you so much to Su Su and Sen Sen. Besides that, Yeh Yeh and Ah Ma also gave Chee Chee a big ang pao for her birthday. Thank you so much to Yeh Yeh and Ah Ma. Chee Chee loves you all so much!!!

On this night, we had our dinner at Poh Poh's house. Poh Poh had cooked us a very delicious and tranditional food for birthday. We had mee sua, red eggs, pies and etc. It was really a very very delicious birthday meal. Thank you so much to Poh Poh for preparing all these.

It was Chee Chee's first time to eat mee sua and she loves it so much. All of us had a great dinner and quality time together. 生日快乐，宝贝芷琦！！！
